The downtown Nanaimo core will showcase Christmas spirit in the lead-up to the holidays.
The Downtown Nanaimo Business Association is promoting numerous events in both the downtown core and Old City Quarter as part of Winterfest 2024, running until Dec. 19.
A Christmas tree lighting and late-night shopping takes place Thursday, Dec. 5, from 5-8 p.m. The tree will be lit at 5 p.m. and stores will be open till 8 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be appearing from 6- 8 p.m., food trucks will sell food and live musical entertainment is planned.
